: My apologies to Flashbox
Elemen-O-P 07-31-2008, 11:06 AM Sorry I couldn't remember your screen name...
at that moment I was soo excited to have seen another EOC sticker that I completely blanked on which "BOX" was from Stockton... either Flashbox or Flobox... honest mistake, I swear!
Again, my apologies and don't worry... I did my time

Flashbox 08-10-2008, 12:21 AM Its all good! I was a little dumbfounded for a second there myself! We need to have another Stock Town meet soon! or maybe a Sac/Stock meet.
Flashbox 08-11-2008, 07:58 AM So did you get a new huge TV????
Elemen-O-P 08-11-2008, 10:06 AM Hell yea! I tell ya, once we got approved for the 4 years no interest deal, that whole "window shopping" mantra flew out the window! :-P
So, we ended up with a 52" 1080p Samsung LCD that can do 120hz with a contrast ratio of 50,000:1. And you can't have an HDTV w/out an HD signal, so we threw in a PS3. For the tv purchase we got 3 free Blu-Ray movies: Invincible, Night at the Museum and 50 First Dates. We also bought National Treasure 2 on Blu-Ray, an 8' HDMI and the DVD controller for the PS3.

....then..... when we got home we finally caved and ordered the ONLY entertainment center we could agree on from Costco.com. So, for the most part, we spent WAAAAY too much money yesterday.

Darth Raider 08-11-2008, 10:44 AM Flashbox,
We missed you at "T Mac's Big SoCal E-Vent"...I thought that you were coming down? Paul blew us off for the smell of garlic in his nostrils. :D Are you going to try and get down for the "SoCal Chapter Fall Meet" on the 30th of this month, Labor Day weekend?
Chief
Elemen-O-P 08-11-2008, 11:43 AM Paul blew us off for the smell of garlic in his nostrils.
oh yea! well...you're... umh... uh... a big meanie head...:-P
Its just a bummer that all the SoCal events seem to be scheduled during either a busy holiday weekend, or when I've got something previously planned. I said it once and I'll say it again... the EOC needs to conform to MY schedule.:D
Don't worry chief, I'll get down there one of these days. We're trying to plan another trip to the House that Mickey built sometime in October...anything going on then..?
Flashbox 08-11-2008, 12:48 PM Paul,
Sounds baller! You got post a pic when you get it all up and running!
Chief,
I was coming but then my lab got really sick. I had to take him to the vet for a bunch of tests. Turns out he has pancreatitis and a bladder infection. So he had to go on a bunch of meds and a special diet (read- lots of $$$). But he is worth it
I am going to find out what my plans are for labor day, but i usually do come down to So Cal for family and friends so if I do then i will for sure be there.
scanrps 08-11-2008, 06:34 PM With that sweet HD TV setup, I know where we should have
the NorCal meetup.:-D

Last year we we had the "Huntington Beach Meet" in October, of which Flashbox was there, you blew us off for "Mickey Rat!" You're a hard man to pin down Charlie Brown! But, I promise we'll keep trying! ;-)

I am really sorry to hear about your dog, I hope that he's OK. That will be great if you can make it down for our Fall Meet! You will love Super Autobacs, they have anything JDM, that you can even think of there!
By the way, I do agree with Scanrps, you guys should plan a get together around a sweet HD TV set up, right there in Stockton! "ROAD TRIP!!!" :D

Flashbox 08-11-2008, 09:24 PM Basically he is trying to say I am cooler than you... Its ok don't cry
Elemen-O-P 08-25-2008, 01:38 PM Just an update... we got in the entertainment center and spent the weekend constructing, organizing and wiring it in. Despite it being 3 pieces...this thing is MASSIVE!! It measures 101"W X 63"H X 19.75"D  I've still got some wiring to tidy up..but that wont be too difficult.
Anyway, here're a couple shots.

If only Junebug knew that Costco sold more than just scone ingredients.
Fortunately the wife and I really don't watch too many sports and as of current, I only have demos games for the PS3 that I downloaded from the Playstation network. So, our time is still "our time" and our money still belongs to our vehicles..;-)
..oh and the dog too.

Absolutely on where the $ goes! Next time you have the chance, mention cheese when describing Junebug.... something I learned about here in Yellowstone, she's a cheese-o-holic. I was just looking through the pics from Death Valley last year, looks like you guys had a great time! Betsy and I hope to do DV this year.
I remember you from the Ohio trip.
Junie making her favorite cran-raisin scones.

No..you really want to throw something in when talking about Junebug? Name any type of food...and finish its description with "...on a stick."
Not only will riotous laughter erupt...but you'll make June-y, blushy...hahah
E_BikeR 08-27-2008, 10:25 PM Too bad she doesn't check this thread. Hehehehe!
Elemen-O-P 08-28-2008, 09:32 AM I'll try and get her on here later...in the meantime... Here's a great shot of Junebug chowin down on some CHEESY TOTS at Sonic in Ohio.

Yeah, she's a cheesy tot alright! The campout wit the crew in 'Jellystone" was too much fun, and unlike the Ohio meet, there were fewer people, and more time to get to know folks.
Ohio was HUGE and a blast but.... and too busy with lots of interruptions, so I never felt like I really got to know anybody very well.
Must make more camp-outs! 100% planning on the Humboldt trip next year, and about 50% sure on the D.V. trip this winter!
Junebug 08-28-2008, 03:38 PM Good thing I like both of your wives, or you'd be (as Gisele says) DEAD TO ME!

 OK, OK no more cheesy talk... 'til after you've stopped checking this thread.
See, I knew she find out about this... %&*$#!
