How do you adjust the interval time for the windshield wipers?

Basically, you don't. That's one feature that all my recent cars have had, and one that I was surprised not to find on the E.

One thing than can make it less frustrating is to use a good product like Stoner Invisible Glass or Rain-X on your windshield. These both cause the rain to bead up and roll off naturally, giving you less need for the wipers in a light rain when you'd otherwise be using the intermittent wipers. I had experience with that on a short road trip this last weekend.

I'm highjacking this old thread. The last couple of winters I see more and more car owners putting the wipers off the glass as snow and sleet is falling. They put the wipers in the "change the blade" position when parked. Does anyone here do that, and what are the pros and cons.

Makes it easier to remove ice and snow build up. Say you get 1/2" of ice...while trying to chip it off youo wont go ramming your scraper and all into your wipers on the glass.

I do it with my truck (which sits outside all the time) anytime they forcast sleet or freezing rain. Prevents the wipers from freezing to the windshield, damaging the edge, and makes it easier to scrape off the windshield in the morning. Just make sure the wipers are turned off.

Reviving the thread- Even that 10 year old, low bucks, Nissan pick-up has variable intermittent wipers. Surprised that Honda missed that with the Element. But then they missed the light in the glove box too.

You don't have a light in your glove box?? hhhmmmm....

Yes, I lift my wiper off the windshield if I know we'll be getting snow. It makes it easier to clean the window off, and I know the blades won't be stuck to the window.

And I really don't like the variable setting. It needs to be adjustable....

I wonder if it would be possible to swap in the wiper controls from a Pilot.

Just a thought, I'm not too knowledgable about such things.
