I tell you what.........from that little enclosure...the bass is the $hit. I threw every type of music at that damn woofer.

For you ol' skool types...I even tried BachBusters from Don Dorsey. The bass goes down to 15hz...maybe even lower.

I am setup for a front and rear subwoofer. The front is only hooked up for now and I am very impressed with it's sound reproduction.

I am running a JL Audio 500/1 v2 amp to the woofer.

For $500 there's sooo many better options.

That's what someone would say...especially if they have not heard it in action.

I said the same thing about that enclosure...until I trusted my installer's advice. He's my buddy so he would not make me pay for something that he would not trust.

Mind you...he's one of those types that want's to one-off everything...so the fact that ..."Hey buy the Element Stealth Box" came out of his mouth was weird.

you feel me.

Name one. Not to be sarcastic but name another off the shelf subwoofer that's better than the JL, that fits in the factory location. The Element is all about utility and NOTHING out there lets the Element maintain it's utility. Ask outpost what he would charge a customer for his custom unit.

Well, there's always replacing the stock sub with the Elemental Designs 7Kv.2 and then plugging the port. Less than $100 (minus the amp but since the Stealthbox doesn't come with one either...), lower and stronger bass upfront, retain the stock look, and easily accomplished for LX owners who just need to buy the sub box to do it.

Only con is the smaller sub size and bass output compared to the Stealthbox, but $100 < $500.

Well all I have to say is...I don't miss that 5 to 6 inches of wasted space between the center console and the cupholders...and people don't even know that I have a subwoofer there....until I turn it up and their cell phones slide off my dash.

Well, it's called a Stealthbox for a reason. :D

Thank You Captain Obvious...but I said that because Non-Element Owners don't know about the woofer there.

there is one more box that is made for the element at $170. It's from r&t enclosures and it is built with the highest in quality.

It does not take up the stock location, but it's a downfiring box that is only
9" in overall height so you can still recline the rear seats to a comfortable position and put them up if you need too (also protects the subs from the dog).

I've heard Element stealthboxes, hell I had one in my MKIII VW. All I meant by my comment was that for the price of the stealthbox, one could easily (patiently) piece together a system that would (and will) out perform the stealth. Albeit it might not be stealthly and slightly used, for example in my case: (4) Infinity Reference door speakers $100 shipped. (1) 5-channel Alpine MR?-450 $250 shipped. (1) still new in the box 12" MM21?? Polk Audio sub. $60. (1) Sub-box slotted port $45 (suprised with this one for the price). Stinger Amp kit and associated wiring (LLC) $83.

Take into account some of the above items were slightly used, but have ran stable for the last 3 years. Very close to the stealthbox price with shipping and/or tax, but miles ahead as far as db levels. If loudness isn't what you're after, I could have downsized the subwoofer and box and probably upgraded the doorspeakers for a cleaner crisper sound.
