Each month, we do a giveaway of free stuff and we have given away everything from credit to H-and-A to Cloud Rider grills to EOC t-shirts and stickers. The last few rounds of our Scavenger Hunt we have had low turnout and I want it to be MAJOR turnout.
Feedback I am getting is that (1) we might not be promoting the giveaways enough so people know, and (2) the night/time might not be the best choice. With that in mind...
I get good stuff to give away. We have members with lots of stuff on their E's or on their back as a result. How can we improve our contests so we get more people involved??

How about a banner ad on the EOC main page (not on the boards) just letting people know about it. I am guessing that there are more people that view the mainpage than the boards, so it could have a 2 part effect:
1: more people will find the boards and participate
2: people that view the main page (current users) will also see and attend.
Another idea is to host a poll on what day/time works best and let the users decide when to have the event (if u have the flexibility to do it that way).
I personally love this site and the giveaways. I carry around flyers in my glovebox to pass on to parked Es. Maybe a new flyer that says something to the new people that you are doing giveaways would work?
Or my personal favorite: spam?
I know you have done an incredible amount of work to keep this machine rolling. Most of us will do what we can to help. Maybe a grass roots campaign to promote the site is in order?
(Or maybe i just took one too many poli sci classes!)

I think it might be a time thing. Plus, not too many people hang around on the boards as often as lae :P
