Got my E lowered 2 weeks ago with the Eibach springs by 1.7" and gotta tell say that I love it. As you can see in picture it is a perfect. Handling has improved, alot more car like. There are no worries of speed bumps, inclines etc. since it has same clearance as regular car. And here is the best part, took same roundtrip out of town as I do each week and gas mileage has improved greatly. I fill up each time I go and had quarter tank more when I got back. I run between 70-80mph and have seen that my E runs smoother at those speeds on the highway, engine feels stronger. I already know that some of you people are still going to talk smack about a lowered E, but if you going to hate then just go post in another thread.

I just post negative comments about crappy mods :D . Your E looks very nice, good job! It looks like camber has been corrected. What size tires and wheels do you have on there?

Wheels are 19" x 8.5 with 40 series BFG Comp TA, same appox diameter overall as stock. I was charged $250 for the springs itself plus another $100 for labor. First shop originally told me I might not need rear camber but we found out I did for the rear wheels. Anyways, they were no help at finding camber adjust for rear but I found another shop in town that already lowered another E with camber adjust. It was ASAA Racing on longpoint, they charge me $230 total... $80 each wheel for part + $50 labor. So moral of story is find a good shop and do it all at one time, and you do not need camber for the front. These guys makes the camber kit

I take it they are 245's? Do you know what offset you got on the wheels? Any rubbing or clearance issues?

And oh yea... nice! :D

Yes, they are 245s and there is no rubbing at all. I think I may switch to 18s at later point so I can get bigger tires, the springs feel the same as factory so the tires is the factor for smooth ride. It's not bad now, you just gotta be more careful on city streets for potholes of coarse. Plus 18s are cheaper to replace. I have not calculated my mileage since having my E, but I can tell you after the drop I am quite sure I am getting +2 or +3mpg highway. I also have had injen CAI on for about 2 months prior, but did not notice any mileage gains till getting the drop. Sorry, not quite sure about the offset, I forgot.

sup htown,
nice to see your e representn' houston, i've had my e for about six months and am lookin to put rims and a drop. your setup looks pretty clean, i'm still deciding whether to put 18's,19, or 20s as you know how bad the roads in town can be.

Looks sharp, I am planning to get the spring kit from Tire Rack w/wheels once I pick up my E. So are the front struts slotted that you do not need the eccentric adjusters for front camber?

How much did the SPC rear camber kit run, at the link I did not see pricing?

What part # did you use for the camber?

The shop that ordered and installed for me charged me $83 for each control arm. I assume the part number is 81280. You do not need front adjustment at all. I have seen them at nopi's online store also, you may want to call to be sure if it is for the front or back.

Really no difference to me since the Element suspension is already stiff from the factory. May post more photos later tomorrow when I get the time.
