How are we ever going to have a meet if no one posts in the Georgia threads? :?:

I have seen so many E's in Georgia yet we just aren't getting the response I would expect. C'mon, lets put the other states to shame! Give us a shout out, something, anything!

 Hey my friend and I just bought E's a couple of weeks ago. It was so weird. We just went to check them out and bam we both bought one. Right now, we are looking for someone to make canvas tops so we can park our E's side by side and have a canvas roof between the two trucks. We are both planning to get the camping deal for the back. In addition, doing some other mods if you know some one out there that has a hook up for that kind of stuff let us know. I am going to get him here on this forum... Talk to you later we have to go get the bad people before they come to our doorstep.

You gotta watch out for those Army guys...
Redpunk! I've been here all along, but so far no one but you has wanted to meet me! I've got a great place to meet - The Cartecay River Chilly Run is this Thursday, 01/01/04. I think everyone should ride their E's up to Ellijay and go white water kayaking! Well, I'm going anyway.

Have fun Chilly Willy! Sounds like fun but I'm not up for freezing my arse off in the cold water. Speaking of, have you heard of our so-called polar bear plunge in Lake Lanier? It will be in the 60's new year's day... that makes for some pretty lame polar bears :P

Well I guess that makes me lame-er because I'm certainly not getting out there!

Oh, and WELCOME biohazard. I don't know of anyone that makes custom canvas anything but I'll let you know if I ever hear of anything.

To cool guys… It is a little cold to be out on the water. I do enjoy camping and off road trail riding. I also have a CJ-5 that I like to do the real 4X4 deal. Hey if you have any cool links or mods for the E let me know I am new and looking at adding 115ac to my E you know for the TV and such.

Actually, no, you're not. You have to remember, most people in Honda's planned demographic (20's) aren't that bright yet.

Hey Georgia, I work and live in Smyrna. I have been seeing LOTS of E's in the neighborhood.

Redpunk
02-11-2004, 08:32 AM
I see them all over the place too. However, I was in Smyrna last week and I didn't see any. Yet, while on the east-west connector a couple weeks ago, I saw 6! At one point there was one directly in front and behind me on the road.

I'm an Element Owner from Macon, GA. All you Georgia Element Owners will more than likely see me around in Atlanta though cuz I'm in college up there. I got my E as a high school graduation gift. I've seen Elements all over Atlanta...where are all the ATL owners at? 8)

Picked up my SOP E at Gwinett Place last Thursday, 2/19/04.
5speed and all that. I've added the keyless, security, fogs, custom lower grill gaurd (aka gutter gaurd), and carpet my self.

GP Honda will match prices from H&A, call Noah there. They've been pretty good to me so far. I really don't trust dealers however ...

I work in Midtown and I see at least one or two each morning. I leave so late at night I don't see much of anything!!

I'll be putting some pics on my site (link on my profile). I didn't take any pics of my installations because so many people have done that so far.

Cheers,

Welcome to the boards Docgoku!

I have to say-- cute pups. I thought I was the only one with a black chi... well no more :) Mine is a long-haired with a white spot on his chest like yours. Your dach is a doll too.

Can't wait to see the pics of your E.

It's funny how many of us have these concieved froo froo dogs (we all know better, right?) and the practical Element. Well, I know my Koie loves the E as much as his big Labrador sis.

I'll post a pic or two soon.

Ahh... you noticed the two little attack pups! I admit they are not the most manly dogs in the world, but they don't take up much space and make a ton of noise when pissed.
I've noticed with my two, they are protective as HELL. They look like this when they see other people and dogs:
The E is great for them, toss'em in the back and let's go!

Well I picked my Element up on New Year's Eve. I had seen them on the road and thought "Ohh What is that funky looking thing" Little did I know when I went car shopping in late December I would end up driving a 2003 Silver 2wd EX off the lot. It just fit all the needs I was looking for in a vehicle.

I am almost 6' tall and my fella is 6'2". One of the main reasons I chose the Element was the head room. He complained about the head room in my Explorer Sport every time he drove it. Now he has plenty of headroom.
I also love the fact that the back seats have sooo much room and are removable. The suicide doors are something else. It make access so easy.

Just can't say enough about it. Only thing I have done to mine so far is add keyless entry. I am considering the wider armrest they offer but not sure about it yet.

Take Care

I joined the ranks of Georgia E owners on Sunday. I purchased a FBP 2WD EX and love it. I live in Canton and work in Alpharetta. Until 3 weeks ago, I thought the E was one of the ugliest cars out there, but then I saw it at the Auto Show, started reading about it on the boards, and my mind was changed. My 14 year old son wasn't too excited about it at first, but after he rode in it, he loved the room in the back.

I'm looking forward to talking with other E owners in Georgia.

Hello. I just signed up on this board after lurking for a few weeks. I bought my '03 Element in January of this year and I love it! I've seen a few E's around the roads but not too many. I'll wave if I see ya.

Thanks Red. My wife and child will be there by the 18th of July and I will be staying back till Sept. I have to finish my last quarter and we want to get my son into Chestnut Elem. in Dekalb county. He has to be there for the orientation and such. I will be in Atl on or after Sept 9 and I cant wait. I am loving my Element, spring cleaning was a breeze. Just lift the seat....load it up and then....off to the dumpster! I will probably be living in Dunwoody for a short stint until we get settled and then, who knows. I cant wait!

Hi, Georgians(Any of you out there?)'

Bumper damage fixed at Honda CarLand of Roswell(where they did a fine job, BTW), I decided to embark on installing the Stull billet grille(eBay), and the OEM Honda Foglights from 'HandA'. I'm not very adept at mechanics, but because of the relative 'ease' of installation reported by so many fine OEM members for both projects, I thought that maybe even I could perform a facelift on my E, do them with reasonable time and effort, and obtain the personal satisfaction of a DIY project on my two week-old 'Orangy'. Well, I may have broken the record for how long it takes, but in all(working alone with no special tools) it took me a total of 9 hours for the two projects. The most time consuming part was going under the instrument panel to install the fog relay harness(needed a better light source in there!). Despite the large time investment, it was still very gratifying, especially when those fogs came on for the first time!

I'm hoping you all can see my 'before' and 'after' shots with this post.

If I were to do both projects again, I imagine I could do them in less than half the time. If any Atlanta area people need some help with the grille or the fogs, I'll be glad to give a hand if I'm around, just send me a PM.

Welcome to Georgia, 'sortafast'. It's good to know the E does well on a cross-country trip; furthest I've travelled so far is to the N. Ga mountains; she shines there, too; I a could take her into the downhill curves pretty fast, which I couldn't help but try...steering was pretty neutral to mild understeer.

'Poses...': I sure see alot of E's out now in Atlanta, but the E still seems to attract alot of attention; esp. when the doors or the tailgate is open. I didn't expect so much when I bought it, but it's fun "showing off" the folding seats, clamshells, waterproof interior, etc...

I just recently bought my E, but lurked on this website for several weeks before the purchase. I live in Norcross and would be very interested in meeting with other Georgia Element owners and you can count me in for a group picture.

I printed up some EOC flyers(thanks for the link, 'Poses...'), and am ready to distribute them to Atlanta E's...

I could meet for a group photo, too. If we can come up with a time/place to meet, we could put an insert into the flyer to spread the word that way...

If we do get together, we absolutely must drive around a bit, for those with the time and inclination...who could pass that up?

Anyone able to meet this Saturday?
