Well I went ahead and added extra backup lights to the E. I did this with my previous vehicle and the results were night and day :D
Anyways here is a pic of the real life result(sorry for the poor quality but it won't stop raining here and I was rushed). The lights are meant to be installed on a trailer hitch but seeing as I do not have a hith I used some stock holes under the bumper. I'd like to mount the lights higher, like on a roof rack, but once again I do not have it.

A good argument for purchasing at least the back half of a roof rack! And make sure you can also switch them on manually - to wake up the freakin' tailgaters!!!!!!

those lights look great! which exact lights are they and where did you get them? how did you wire them? was it hard? i have a roof rack and think that i might like to add them, althogh i like where you have them mounted
