hi, everyone,

trying to get a avic f90bt. have so many questions. i have a 2006 element ex.

1. what parts do i need apart from the unit. wiring harness, and pilot faceplate. would that be it? where do i get them?
2. would i be able to use my factory sub woofer and antenna? how
3. would i be able to use my factory xm unit ? how
4. how long does it take to install the unit, one afternoon with two friends is ok?

Post # 24 will answer a few of your questions. The fatory XM unit will not work with the Pioneer. You will also need an antenna adaptor and the headunit installation should take just a few hours.

Also look at the FAQ/ How To's for a library of useful info :cool:

Yes, there are several threads about subwoofer hook-up. Look at the stickies in the "electronics" section.
The factory XM is loated behind rear passenger panel in the back of the vehicle.
I got my antenna adapter at Best Buy. Note, the factory antenna is powered so it will have to be hooked up to 12v when wiring the harness.
