Hey guys and gals, just wondering if anyone has had similar "issues" with the back row passengers. THEY ARE BOBBING THEIR BODIES ALL THE TIME.
And to be honest, it is VERY stiff back their. Maybe preload or spring rate, but who knows.... I'm very used to bouncy cars, but these were sport-type cars (S2000, 91CRX, 91CIVIC). It just seems like the rear is hopping foward over the smallest bump or that the rear is supposed to have 400lbs in the rear storage. Anyone have suggestions/clues/solutions???? I don't want to spend a gang of $$ for springs/shock or coil overs.... anyone??

I've seen posts here indicating that, when the Element is loaded with heavier people or extra cargo, there's less bouncing.

Thanks, but I guess we all (or passengers any ways) are stuck with that situation. I guess I'll hope for the 04 with a different set up. Crap. But anyone have any recommendations for replacement parts? Suggestions on springs, shocks....etc... Having a lowered E is something I didn't want but....if a spring is the answer, I'll bite.

Check your tire pressure with an accurate guage and make sure that you aren't running over what is recommended by Honda. A tire inflated to 40 psi will ride noticeably harsher than one at 30.
Just check to be sure that is not the issue.
