I waxed my E with Kit carnuba wax available at walmart. This wax is good for up to one year. I wax everysix month.
To avoid getting wax on the panels I apply around the edges first while holding each door open.
I made sure to get the door jambs at least once for extra protection.
I use a round damp applicator.
I remove the wax with a cotton old tshirt.
To get wax out from the panels and the emblems I use a soft tooth brush. It works very well and removes all traces of wax from the panels should you have a little accident.
To protect the panels and the inside of the vehicle I apply black magic available at any auto store. it may contain some silicone teflon and will repel water and bugs. The application on the inside last for about two years. Clean the inside any other time with a slightly damp clothes.
No touch tire spray works well to keep black and clean.
