I have my Element lowered with Tein Basics and have 20" rims. I currently have Falkens 245/35/20 which need replacing. I want to fill my wheel well a little more. What size tire can i use without rubbing? what size tire do you use? I'm thinking 245/45/20. Thanks alot.

Brice...you would probably be a lot happier with the 245X40X20 tire. As far as ride, comfort and handling, I like the Toyo Proxes T1-R's.

Yeah that's what my tire guy told me. He quoted me $172 per tire for Falken Fk452 245/40/20 so I'm going to keep shopping around and see if I can get a better deal. Thanks for the input I will be going with that size then.

Yep what Chief said :D Some other brands you can look at are Nitto and Hankook. I've seen the Hankook tires as low as $145/tire but that's hard to find.

If you want the best quality stick to Toyo like chief said or Pirelli

wow that would be awesome. I will be giving you a call sometime next week. Thanks a lot! As a college student buying a set of tires is a pretty penny and anyway I can save some money helps.

Just be careful with potential clearance issues. I have the same tire size but with my wheel offset I need to run a stretched tire or else it the tire will come in contact with the spring. As it sits, I can barely get a business card between the the inner lip of the rim and the lower perch of my Basic Dampers up front but it clears. I just bought a set of Yokohama AVID W4s from Tire Rack and they are a huge improvement over the previous Toyo R1. Very quiet and comfortable and were $145 a piece.

Oscar I can't thank you enough for hookin me up. I love my new tires they ride so smooth and quite. I love the way they look and they fill my wheel well way better. Here's a pic of my ride with my new tires and I cleared my headlights last weekend. Thanks again.
