hi, all

i have paid to get the pioneer avic-f90bt install in my element, but the technician tell me that sub can not be integrated, so i have been driving without it. and i am pissed with this situation, i am totally not getting the installing, slicing, cutting soldering, and all that. how do i get him to fix it for me, he simply told me it is impossible. help, guys, can you use plain english so i can use to confront him to fix it for me.

if some kind person in this forum can show us layman one picture of your setup, it might be most helpful. how the actual configuration of the wire is with the sub integrated? i think that will help a lot of people, and avoid a lot of questions.

The information is readily available here in the forum, just search it out. The main question is...did the installer maintain use of the factory amp at all??

It's all here:

If the installer can't figure that out, take it somewhere else.

Your new system has two ways to connect a subwoofer. Either by using it's built-in amp, or by using an external amp. Don't know what your set up is. The E's sub is perfect for the Pioneer's built-in 70W sub output. Just wire the Pioneer sub output directly to the sub. (Don't use the E's sub amp.) If your using an external amp, you'll probably what a different sub anyway. Don't try to use the E's sub amp with this unit. I think that's what your untrained tech is trying to do. Wire directly to the sub. You will need to disassemble the sub to connect directly to the speaker terminals.

Find a competent tech.

The problem with this route is you only get the Front Left and Front Right channels from the head unit's amp. You can wire the RCA outputs to the factory amp (wiring diagram is stickied to this forum) and that will let you keep the factory sub. The speakers would probably be better powered from the headunit unless you will be replacing the amp
