You can't beg, borrow, or buy a small angle grinder?

You can get a cheapie for less than $50 (prolly $25) and some cut-off wheels for it cost about $4 each.

It'll be a lot easier....and neater....and worth it!

You may want to sell your Element one day so, before you start cutting, think about that.

If you want it so low you should have the fenders rolled. If you don't want to do it just take it too a body shop and tell them exactly what you want. You can always raise the coilovers up also. Don't worry, EVERY one that has lowered their E on Tein coilovers have had the rubbing issues with the tires......so you are not alone. Dance is running 22s and has absolutly no rubbing issues. Just put the saw down and we can get you some help!

actually... it turned out pretty good :), I did it the best I could. I still have some minor rubbing on the right side, but I will take the fender off and go into surgery again, dont fret people, I still have my fingers :D

IMO if and I say "IF" you're going to cut the fenders, a saw-zall with a metal cutting blade works the best. :D We tried a torch, angle grinder and finally went with the saw-zall which cut the fender very easily.

Once you get this done please post your ideas and thoughts at this thread as we're trying to make it the official cutting/rolling fender thread.

Isn't a saw-zall the same as a reciprocating saw? LOL. I'm so confused now..

Sawzall is the name given to Milwaukee's version of the recip saw. Just like "Crescent wrench". Crescent is the company that makes the wrench.

Nah, they're probably just now starting to make their way towards the port in Cali. Once they get on the boat they'll probably take a week to get here from there. I'm guessing about 3 weeks. Sucks. Really looking forward to rocking some tourists' world down in Waikiki with the brush guard from hell. :D
