I haven't seen a ton of elements on the roads here in Yorktown, VA but I'm sure they're out there. Anyone, anyone?

Catawba for me.

I was in Tidewater over the weekend, though, and saw a few others- there was a SOP (with plate MY LMENT) at the new Bass Pro Shop and another SOP at the hotel where I was staying. (I was incognito- driving a company vehicle- and I missed my E!)

Lunchbox VA here. Say, aren't we Mid Atlantic as opposed to South East?

Yes, but 'E'azyRider asked twice, so I figured, why quibble.

Hello y'all,

Was wondering if anyone has had experience driving the E in adverse conditions...(of course you have..). I've got a manual E, 2WD and have found that the wheels spin VERY easily. I can get rubber in 3rd gear if I feel so inclined.

So starting up on a hill on wet pavement can be ah, tricky.

Could it be:

First manual I've had in 8 years (was a 90 civic wagon)?
Way more fiesty motor?
Really light (?) in the front end???

Am wondering how it'll handle in the snow we're likely to get here in the Ole Dominion (NOVA).

Any thoughts?

BTW - I'm not complaining at all. Most fun I've ever had with a car - hand down.

- Cheers!

My suggestions are as follows
The tires - everyone agress the stock tires are marginal.
The torque - the engine is actually a bit torquey so you need to have a light foot in some situations.
The two-wheel-drive - you're more likely to get significant wheelspin with the 2wd version vs. the 4wd version.

"Dead fan in VA."

Don't scare me like that!

I thought you meant your Element fan died.

Someone better call Google and straighten this out before the rumor mill gets torqued.
