So I did an install and it is finally tuned and I got rid of all the alternator noise. I am still picking up a high pitch hiss in the left tweeter. After unhooking everyhting it seems to be picking up the noise between the cross over and the tweeter. There is the fuse box there. The frequency changes with the AC on or the Brakes applied. Nothing with throttle. All the other speakers are clean. I can unhook this tweeter and get sweet silence. Anyone know whats up there making the noise? How best to isolate from it. Any experiences with this would be great.
Oh and I have twisted pair from the amp to the crossover but used the eclipse wires that came with the speakers from crossover through dash. I am out of twisted pair so I am considering buying some of that. I am also considering heading to the local boat shop and buying shielded wire. but I have to break that stupid airbag clip again to do this so I would like to explore all considerations before I break that clip and have to go to the dealer to get a new one.
