: Brake Wire on a 2007

Searched all over, but couldnt find it. Im installing a Avic F700bt(doesnt need the VSS) and I have everything done but the brake wire.

You should be able to pull the signal from the braking switch, located up from the brake pedal, follow the metal that attaches to the brake, and there should be a switch that is opened/closed when you step on/release the brake pedal. Unless you mean the emergency brake, wherein, I haven't a clue. Good Luck.

what are you doing with the negative power supply pin on integrated circuits
the stereo and the brakes :confused::confused:

Im pretty sure I need the emergency brake pedal, of course this is my first nav install so I might be wrong about that also.

Ok ended up just grounding the mute wire and the brake wire to bypass :) didnt realize you need to ground the brake wire anyways to do the software bypass

Honda circuits use GROUNDS for switching, not POWER. This system is contrary to conventional electronic circuits. By doing this, Honda makes it more difficult to add to or change the circuits of their vehicles. One way around is to use a relay. Often times, you will use the N.C. contacts of a SPDT or DPDT relay, so that the circuit that you want to switch has the opposite effect of the circuit you are tying into.
