first off i would like to thank Rodrez for the insane photos and privelage to be featured in such a magazine. Also a big thanks to my girlfriend maybelyn miranda for putting up with my days of going broke while i buy car parts! and to all my friends of course who supported me through thick and thin during this build. and last but not least to all of you E owners who have also showed love toward my car and i appreciate everything you guys have shared with me thank you. =)

ADVAN ELEMENT,

Congratulations on making Honda Tuning Magazine. At our Super Autobacs Meet in Stanton, Rodrez mentioned to that your Element would be in the magazine. Just yesterday, I went looking for this issue on line. Later today, I will be heading to my local Pep Boys to see if they have this issue.

I have seen a few pictures of you Element, most recently a few posted by vfxraven19. I really like the carbon fiber intake system that you have and would like more information on that. It appears to be a very custom piece. Cogratulations again. I am looking forward to this issue to show my wife that Honda Element Owners are very serious about our rides ;-):D. Advan E, you will have to make it to one of our local So Cal Meets someday to show off your Element!

So, upon reading Barvel's reply, I got dressed and headed over to VONS (down the street from mom & pop's house). I headed immediately for the magazine section, and skimmed through where the E's were at. Darth Raider and my ride are in there (as well as Abulevan's back, lol), and most importantly Ojay's Gold Nugget! I bought all 3 issues.

No problem Ojay, that was actually a pretty fun shoot, and luckily my girlfriend lives close to yours, so it was an easy drive over. And besides, who in this industry is doing motion shots with people hanging off the side of an Element like a couple of a GI Joe action figures? :razz:

This is the first street Element that HondaTuning has ever featured (the first actual Element was the orange Honda of America built drift car) and it was because the car really stood out. The Honda community has been nuts about Ojay's car for quite a while now, and it was only fitting that a feature be shot. Originally, it was slated for just 2-3 pages, but the editor really loved it and decided to run a full feature on it. Great build Ojay!

Thanks Darth Raider, I was happy that the head editor (Aaron Bonk) was nice enough to let me run a blurb and a few pics from the SuperAutobacs meet, and plug the EOC's website. He's got an awesome attitude when it comes to Honda enthusiasts, whether their modding mainstream cars, or the "below the radar" types like our Elements.

I know times are tough, but please support the magazine, and pick up a copy. This is our winter issue; it officially realeases next week, but it will be on newstands until January. Thanks fella's!

yea i thought that too. when you even told me that it will get a half sized type of feature, i was still grateful for anything i may get published. and then i get a call from our buddy mikeyyyyy (the red acura integra who's also featured in this month's issue) saying the mag is out, and tells me my article ran with 6 pages! i was like oh WTF :shock::shock: thats so awesome! i cant be any more thankful. once again thanks everyone and also big ups to matt and honda tuning. :D:D

Took me a few days as well to find the issue my car came out in, and when I found it I bought about 8 copies! Congrats again Ojay, well deserved feature!

Just when I think I am done modding, I see something else that I want to try. I like the intake in Ojay's ride. I guess I will have to put this on my wish list. I wonder if the part is CA Smog certified :rolleyes:. I may have to call Password: JDM and get some additional information. I would also like to see some pics of the relocated battery.

Congrats Ojay, I just picked up my copy today! I love the way you used the Bride Material, and I love those BRIDE Seats, if you had the Kevlar ones those would have just added to the uniqueness, but none the less, an AWESOME looking "E". I totally wish I had my Bride seats out of my first NSX....man the fit on those seats were comfortable and fitting, and when your banging corners at, well lets just say speed limit to be safe :rolleyes: I never felt like I was going to roll out of it(Gaud, I wish I would have never sold my NSX :cry:). Chief and Mike awesome looking "E" as well. I can't wait to see these vehicles on the 16th, hopefully Ojay will have his Advan Element out on display at the car show so I can take some pics of it and chat about the build. I may not be driving the Element as the wife has the lock on that vehicle unless I can pry the keys out of her hands, or I may take one of my other vehicles.

the intake is their own exclusive product, mainly made for the rsx. even for the rsx, no instructions were supplied at the time i bought it.... i stumbled upon it one day on their site and bought one of the first ones. the intake can be painted i believe... give it a shot! but ill be honest, its an awesome intake and sounds good too. but i had it for quite a bit, and i wanna switch up my engine bay with new parts one of these days. we'll see :)

That interior is way beyond anything I've seen (being in the middle of the states makes that a common occurrance). All of you SoCal guys go all out. It' s hard being somewhere that imports get no respect and then I think about all the big brother car troubles y'all have out there and yet you still pull off some great rides.

VERY NICE! and also my buddy billy shea's black SC during the Nisei Showoff coverage. elements are now making its mark on the map as a tuner car / people mover!=) thanks again everyone for the remarks :)

Any info on your buddies SC with the Rotora brakes??? Is he using a RSX kit???

I've looked for the article in a magazine shop and they did have a wall of automotive mags, but there was nothing with Honda in the name. At any point can you post the article here on line? It would be greatly appreciated by all.

I've looked for the article in a magazine shop and they did have a wall of automotive mags, but there was nothing with Honda in the name. At any point can you post the article here on line? It would be greatly appreciated by all.

yes, almost every article from the October issue is posted on their site now.
