I've had my element for a few months now and I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the electromagnets inside the tires.

In the last 3 months I've had 3 screws in my rear tires so there must be magnets in there attracting them.

I was beginning to believe that someone was "screwing" with me, but quickly realized that everyone I know is malicious and would have slashed the tires.

On the bright side, the folks at the tire shop were gracious enough to repair the last puncture for free since I'm a repeat customer :D

It's the TPMS. The sensors also throw off compasses. That's actually what happened to Amelia Earhart. Folks say when it's pitch dark, you can can see an eerie glow comin' from the valve caps.

Beat them with a hammer or plug them into the nearest AC outlet . See link below

> ..."screwing" with me, ...

I feel your pain. Many years ago I had a similar series of punctures - always the same tire, too. However, when one was a hypodermic needle (explain that one!), it became pretty obvious that an ex-girlfriend was of the "fatal attraction" ilk.
