I have the Honda factory alarm installed in my E and I believe the passive feature was turned on somehow. How whenever I remove the key and shut all the doors, the alarm sets itself. Well, the problem with this is that if I open the rear door to get something out of the car, (groceries, luggage, etc) the alarm will sound. What's worse is that my wife likes to use one set of keys and she already has a remote for our Accord and doesn't want another remote, so she'll unlock the car with the keys which sets of the alarm until she can get in and start the car. Really anoing.
I know it said how to turn on and off this feature in the alarm owners manual, I unfortunatly don't remember where I put it.
Any help truely appreciated!
Thanks,

Nope, but I've got a beer callin' my name...
...go to the handa site (see links above) and look for the installation instructions (PDF) for the alarm kit, the proper sequence to turn off the super-secure mode should be in there!

Well, I tried that and it doesn't go into how to do it. It's in the Owners Manual which I can't find. Anyone have a copy of the owners manual for the alarm or know where it might be posted?
Thanks!

If there was a manual, it's in the car. I'll try to remember to bring it in tonight after shopping.

Well, I had to take my e in for an oil change, and I asked about it. After playing with it, the service guy had to finially get a security system owners manual and turning off the auto alarm goes like this:
1) Turn the key to the ON position.
2) Turn the key to the OFF position, the alarm begins to arm itself.
The next few steps have to be done within 3 seconds.
3) Remove the key.
4) Insert the key.
5) Remove the key.
6) Inset the key.
7) Remove the key.
8) Insert the key, you will hear two beeps if steps 3-8 are done within 3 secs.
Now my alarm only sets if I hit the lock button on my remote.
