: Door dent problem - Anyone?

I have a dent on both sides. I assume they came from someone opening their door on the parking lot. I have seen two more E-s in the area with the same kind of dents. Anyone here has the same problem. Never seen it on any other cars. Is it E-thing of composite? Any suggestions on getting it out?

All cars get dings, but they are probably more noticable on the Element because the doors are so tall and flat. Most cars have some contour that hides the funhouse mirror effect you get from a ding when you look down the length of the door. The Element has no such contour. There is no real reasonable way to get rid of them. I suggest covering them with a :) sticker!

(Wonder if it would look right on an EBP?)

i misunderstood what you were asking...i can't think of why it wouldn't look good in blue. it certainly looks good in silver...but $100 seems a bit expensive. on the other hand, if it prevents even one ding then it will have been worth the $.

Hondas are notoriously prone to dinging. Knowing that, I park my car far and away from other cars.

Seriously, it's not like we couldn't all use the slightly longer walk!

Hondas are notoriously prone to dinging
what do you mean? why should a honda be any more prone to dinging than any other car?

My question is, has anyone been able to successfully remove the door dings once they happen? and, obviously, if so, how?

Try seeking out a company in your area that does paintless dent removal...your dealer should be able to help you locate one.
