Any idea if front and rear doors would be independant on future models.
Thay have it on toyota trucks, why not on Es?

I hope not! That would defeat the purpose, it would require a B-pillar to be added, getting rid of the great large side opening with the current configuration, the rear doors would also have to be placed further back and made bigger to be used independently, changing the great look of the current design.

It simply wouldn't be an Element anymore. It's great to be able to get big packages/boxes through the side doors.

And besides that, the pillar would have totally ruined this great picture that the Norcal group got on their Bodega Bay run. :)

the Model X had independent front/rear "true" suicide doors... and still pillarless... it also had a sliding rear roof...

they shoulda made the Model X into the Element without those changes...... :(

I would have loved the sliding rear roof! :)

I bet the reason that the Element didn't have independent rear doors was due to projected poor side-impact performance.

True suicide doors may invoke a Pavlovian response in some lawyers. Perhaps Honda's lawyers advised them not to go that way...
