We just moved to Maine from South Carolina a few months ago.

Why having an Element was awesome for the roadtrip from SC to ME with 2 people, 2 dogs, and a cat...

Well unfortunately we have a ton of junk and the majority of our stuff came in a moving truck. BUT we are always amazed at how much crap we can fit in here. I can only imagine having to do that move in the car we replaced with the E, an Impreza.

You ought to change your name to Noah. :) That looks like big fun. Post more pictures if you have them, that had to be an epic trip.

hah. I wouldn't classify it as epic. I had some bad oysters the night before we left so after dousing the side of the E, we had to make an emergency overnight in Richmond, VA. Talk about a pain in the ass...trying to find an affordable hotel that takes pets in some place you've never been. The Garmin came in very handy for that though.

Anyway, here's a few more pics of the 'kids'...

Folks, Some SERIOUS fur lovers? EH?

GOOD DEAL! We have two BHS rescues that have looked at our 18 inches here in the Greater Bangor area and have said, "Meh, the outside is overrated..." and haven't moved out doors, except for 'essential physiologic functions'! And they have always lived in ME. So, any reasonable four-legged behavior while acclimating to ME is acceptable.

PS The fourleggers made good choices of greenback expenditures for vehicles - windscreen cover and (snow?)tires!

haha. We're originally from Indiana, but I think the brief stint we had down in SC made the dogs (and myself) a bit thin blooded. After being out there all day shoveling though, I'm getting more used to it. I'll have to let them know they're not alone though as they think we're punishing them by making them go outside to use the bathroom.

I've got Michelin LTX M/S on the Element, and Michelin X-Ice Xi2 on the Camry. 4WD on the E, and I'm pretty impressed with it's handling in the snow/ice so far.

Great pics!

I couldn't make it down the block if Gidget had to ride with a c - a - t

Actually, she can spell that. I should say a word she has not yet learned to spell: "feline."

Love Maine. Congrats on the move.

Got chains? Tire chains, that is.

Just because we're old doesn't mean we're perverts...besides there are plenty of young perverts...I see them at the meetings.
