They seem like a money grab. I still have time to opt into them before i get my new element, if I choose. Did anyone here get UC and really like it? How about ext warranty?

Undercoating and paint protection from your dealer are total rip offs. So is the extended warranty. It is a Honda after all. If you feel better getting the extended wnty, then go to CARBUYINGTIPS.COM and read about extended warranty offerings on the web...Way better deals there and don't be afraid to negotiate these further down either. Get the undercoating done at any garage for a lot less...Let your fingers do the walking, or see that site I mentioned above for references. The paint protection is a wax job that the dealer will charge you sometimes $1k or more for.

I did opt for the extended warranty after picking up my Element. This was only because dealer threw in 7 years roadside assistance with package. Ended up being around 1250 + tax for 7 year - 130,000km. including roadside assistance.
I agree that the paint protection, undercoating, and upholstrey (sp?) protection is probably a rip-off.

Hmmm.... well I am still thinking about the warranty. The roadside is really not a deal in my mind as AMA is 100 CDN a year and covers 2 drivers and any number of vehicles. AMA is faster to respond as well. But i will continue to mull voer the ext warranty
