Did anyone ever encounter a loud bang when the car is put in reverse and moved. This noise does not happen because I throw it into reverse without first letting the car come to a stop. The car is driven up to my driveway, I come to a complete stop, I then put the car into reverse. The noise doesn't happen until I start to move in reverse. It has only happened twice in the 700 miles that I have driven the car. It is one big loud (BANG), the car feels like it hesitated to move but does and then seems fine. I want to bring it back to the dealer but it is an intermittant problem that proberly won't happen in the short period of time that he will have it in for service.
I would appreciate any input that anyone can offer.

I would think it would be a good idea to bring it in to the dealer and make sure they log the problem on the work order and on your receipt so that you have a record of it. If the problem never reoccurs, not much lost, if a few thousand miles later it does it - at least you have started a trail to use to insure that Honda pays for the problem. Keep a record of when it occurs and under what conditions - vehicle was on a slight decline or incline, level, when engine/trans were cold or warm, etc. Make absolutely sure that you have come to a complete stop before moving the gear selector to R or back to D.
Good luck - keep us posted on what happens.
