I was just wondering with out walking outside with a screwdriver what size sub they put in for the EX's. For some reason I think I remember reading that it was a 6 1/2 but can not say for sure.

yup, 6 1/2" dual voice coil. There is no drop-in replacement available yet.

Also, removing the shroud around the sub is as simple as using a small flathead screwdriver and pushing in the center of the two plastic fasteners on each side of the shroud, then pulling the fasteners out (they almost fall out).

To bad they didn't go with more speaker. Even though we never have put sub's in the front of the car, it is still nice to have a consilled sub that doesn't slide around the truck, factory. Just wish it sounded more like a sub and I don't know of a 6.5 that hits hard
