Has anyone tried to install it on their E? Does it work?

I know there is a thread regarding installing WayFinder V7000, with integrated digital compass and thermometer.

I hope there is something easier for the faint of heart that does not involves running wires through roof/dash/door all the way to engine compartment.....

Yes, easy to install and easy to read in daylight (it doesn't light up at night). I installed one that displays exterior and interior temp. and originally placed the exterior sensor in front of the radiator. It tended to read over 110 degrees, then I moved it to a front wheel well, same problem. It is now Velcroed under the back bumper and is working great. My only concern is how it will handle the wet weather this winter.
