I'd like to see the change holder put on the right side of the steering
wheel.Since most people are right handed, it's easier to get the change
out on the right hand side. Also, leaving it open on accident means you
can clip it with your leg on the way out the door.

Yes, the placement is not ergonomical at all.

They have to move the cruise control on/off button first... don't get me started on that.

The ashtray/coin holder is poorly placed. Equally bad is how hard it is to actually scoop change out of it when required.
But the biggest thing to change, in my opinion, is the darn cruise control.

Right on! Why does there even need to be an engage/disengage cruise switch? Most cars don't seem to have this - cruise control is just always enabled.

Great comments/discussion people!
I too agree about the "change drawer".....it is in an awful locale, and impossible to remove change from while pulling up to a toll booth, just about every time I *try* to get change out it ends up on the floor.
As far as the cruise control button goes.....I can't even see it and half the time I end up turning it on by accident.....oh well!

My my my, what a shame. You spend the coin for a new Element (can't find them used). You get a change holder that required dainty fingers to get into.
I've driven my second Honda (my Element). In the early 1990's my brother had a hatchback Civic. By comparison every other car I've driven has had a coin holder or small storage area usable for coins that is practical.
I think Honda could eliminate the flip down drawer that allows coins to rattle while being very hard to put a hand into and replace it with something more " a la 1995 Corolla". Go for increased funtionality.
