does anyone have links for how to deal with the one time clip that holds the pillars in? I'm reading its from the side curtain airbags that they use these but I'm having issues with them. I'm in the process of planning out the redoing of the front stage on my install I did previously and would really like to get my tweets in the pillars. I've already redid the stealth tire well with a Diyma 12 and two zapco ref amps.
Thanks in advance,

those fasteners are one time use. you're talking about the red/black one right?

you litterally have to break them. at least on my 08 EX I did. and get a replacement one from local dealer.

With a well place smack with a rubber mallet.

1. Pull the front door inner seal away from the A-pillar
as needed

2. Hit the upper clip in the front pillar trim with a
rubber mallet. The clip is located under the point
at the upper edge of the ‘‘SIDE CURTAIN
AIRBAG’’ label on the trim. Hitting the clip breaks
the projections on the pin and pushes it into
the grommet and against the body
NOTE: The upper clip must be replaced with a new
one when the A-pillar trim is reinstalled.

I work at a dealer and I remove these panels alot. You can hit the panel with your hand as well. It is also not impossible to re-set the clip to reuse it. I have some lying around, I'll try to post some pics on how to do it.
If anyone needs a new on let me know, I can send you one.
