In my last car, the I could leave the cell phone in the car to charge. Now it only charges when I'm driving. Also when camping, i'd use the outlet to recharge portable lights. Could also be good in the back for a portable powered cooler/heater.

I'd love this feature, though I'd put a stronger battery in.

Anybody else think about options for this? Any way to reroute to a fuse that is always on?

stronger battery or not a cooler or heater drains way more than a cell phone so i dont know if that would be a good i dea but if it works let me know.

well, your last car must have been american made. american cars have that all the time on feature but most if not all foreign vehicles do not have that feature. i too wish it did.
