Fellow EOC members...

Yesterday I was at my local Honda Dealer getting some wiper blade refills and on the way out I asked the salesman I bought my E from why he did not have 09 E's on his lot. His reply was that they didn't get any yet. I also asked him if there was any chance that Honda was going to discontinue production of the E and his reply was no and in fact that there is a new model of the E coming out mid-summer. Has anyone else heard this or is he "all wet".

New Model midsummer after a re-do from the prior Fall...yeah, I'd say he is dripping alright. Call him back and tell him you have cash waiting on the first one to show up by July!

the 2009s are barely out and were thinking of a revolution for 2010?

LOL, no new Element mid summer. The basic fact is most dealers have
ether cut back, or completely stop ordering slower selling Honda's like the
E and Ridgeline. At least tell things pickup.

Next new Honda after the Insight will be a Toyota Venza type of
crossover in the fall.

Well, I can't speak for the folks in the US but the 09 E's have already hit the lots here in Canada - although in very low numbers. One of my local dealers had one on the lot (in dark blue) and the dealer I was talking to today (which I'm thinking I'm going to buy from) had none on the lot, but told me they could easily get me one.

we cut back. Because of the economy, Honda has changed its requirements
for dealers allocations for minimum ordering. Now we mainly order Fits and Civics.
The 09 Elements will be a rare bird for sure, but can't blame
dealers not wanting to order anything that's going be dead stock.:-(

We do not have any 2009's on order. We finally sold off our 3 remaining 2008's in january.

Was at the local Honda dealer yesterday and he told me that Honda is thinking of bringing out a diesel- but not in the E, sadly- in the Civic.
Ugh- too bad. I'd jump on a diesel E in a red hot second.

Say...did anybody see that convertible Element? :lol:
