I may be going out on a limb here!! How many of us have smacked our heads on the low roofline getting into the E or getting stuff out of the E! I tend to smack right into the suicide door latch that sticks out from the roofline!! What a headache after that happens!! And also the rear Hatch! Getting stuff out and BAM!! Another headache! Roofline is very low, and yet inside the element theres killer headroom!! The E is worth every dome ding!!!

I dont have that problem, but as short as i am i wouldnt expect it. I do have a problem reaching inside the back of the E with the tail gate down. Makes me wish the E came with ambulance doors! - Now that would be cool!

Well, Im just over six foot. It mostly happens when Im getting stuff out of the cargo doors or when Im helping my 2 year old son into the back in his car seat! HE LOVES THE E! He points at it and says "Trevor's car!" Meanwhile, Daddy is coping with a dent in his head !!!

I'm 5'10" and upgrade from a plymouth colt, to a taurus to the E. No problem at all with the roofline nor the hatch!

Go figure --- I discovered that head-banging metal loop just this evening! The hard way. More of perplexion that it happenned than anything. I've only had my E a few weeks, and we're still getting to know one another. I've also noticed it seems to need a little more side room in the garage than my Camry, especially when I have to access the back seat.

I bounced my head off of the rear hatch a few times while putting stuff in the back. I've never hit it inside the E or while I was getting in.

I am 6-1 my very first encounter with the E that happened. I was at the lot checking the inside because I had only seen them on the road and still wasn't sure. I opened the rear, leaned in. I came out and whack. The sales guy kind of chuckles and says " sorry man but that always happens to tall guys". That's o.k. by me be cause it does have killer inside headroom. In hall the years I have owned a jeep, nad driven in my girls old Toyota. I'm used to smacking my head. Those F'n Jeep roll bars really ring you bell.

Haven't had the dis-pleasure of banging my head but what is killing me is having to grab my left leg and lifting it into the car. I suffer from arthritis in my left hip and its a little hard for me to get my left leg in the car. I thank God that its not my right or I would never be able to get it. hehehehe

I'm 6'3" and while the E has low clearance standing outside and reaching in, I am so happy with the room once I am inside that that this is only a minor annoyance.
