Had any problems/issues/etc with their Element?

I keep reading about rattles and thumps and noise and leaks and poor mileage and dead batteries and this and that and "this is my third/fourth/fifth trip to the dealership" etc.

It's hard for me to imagine that I've been driving the same vehicle since July!

Knock on wood, but my Element's been running great since the day I drove it off the lot. In the last five months, I've driven nearly 9,000 miles through everything ranging from 100F summer heat, through floods and this year's first Nor'easter and can't find a single fault with it (mechanically speaking, anyhow).

No leaks, no rattles, no buzzes, no wobbly seats...nothing.

So... am I just lucky? Or are there other satisfied Element owners out there?

I have not had a problem with my NBP E and am approaching 6,000 miles. I have had mine since July, too. Although, I think reading about so many other E's with issues on this EOC site that I am hearing rattles and knocks that are not there. I hope that I received a "flaw free" E. If I ever do have any of the problems, I will be sure to let the dealer know that justice will be found through EOC.com.

12,000 miles on my new ( 3 months ago ) E..not the first problem...and I get 28 MPG ( I drive 90% hwy ).....I did fill my tires with nitrogen which upped my mpg by about 1mpg....

only complaint so far is lack of 12v outlets for my toys ( solved with a splitter), but would like in the rear somewhere too.

The LXs do not have a plug in the back but you should be able to install one back there as there should be a plug behind the panel for one I would think. Welcome to the club and glad you like your E.
