Is there anyone else having the following problem?

My car typically sits for three-five days during the work week. The breaks make a grinding / grating noise the first three or four applications. It sounds as if the break is dragging. It typically tends to come from the rear brakes.

This also occurs when the car sits or a short while in cold weather (example, minus 5 celcuius and sitting in the parking lot at work from morning to evening).

After a few brake applications the sound goes away.

Normal. My three-day old E does it, and it's been normal on another 4-wheel-disk car we've had for 15 years.

The disks get a thin patina of oxidation if the humidity is high, or moisture condenses on them after having been driven (heated) and then cooled suddenly (it's cold outside). A couple of brake applications will polish off the patina.
