Is there anybody in the jax or op area with an SC that will let me check out/take apart their center console. I want to do the center console mod but I would like to get my hands on one to see what I need/don't need to order. In return I can make you a spare key for your E.

I think I have the HELMS manual if you would like to see what all is involved. If you order the console off of ebay you get the whole deal. Pop off the arm rests and sub cover (assuming you an EX) and your in business. I did it a few months ago and it is great. My g/f lives there so I am there most weekends. There are also a few dealerships in Orange Park over on Blanding. Might look there.

I have seen one on e-bay for $250 but I don't think I need to spend that much. Majestic Honda has an exploded view (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=ELEMENT&catcgry2=2007&catcgry3=5DR+SC&catcgry4=KA5AT&catcgry5=CONSOLE+(2)) but I would like to see one in person to see what I'd need to order. Most important is relocating the parking brake the right way.

There have been several people that have done this mod. The original folks ended up with a 700 dollar tab for all their efforts. Do a search for SC center console mod and you will see the threads. Reikoyn I think did an amazing write up. The 250 console has everything, including the new handle to relocate your emeergency brake. You will also need a piece of 1.0 m double threaded rod to complete the mod. You will also need some wiring handyword to relocate the "aux" input should you chose to do so. I relocated mine and jumped the power port (cig lighters). I used three lengths of wire and a telephone cable. The cable has all small wires wrapped up nicely in a sheath. There is so little voltage running through the aux input it really is a non issue. You pick up the console on ebay all you need to do is get the rod to relocate your e-brake, undo your subwoofer cover and four bolts later your done. You might even want to cut a bit of the floor out in the back to make the console marry up. I will PM you my email and I can send you the helms pages perhaps that will help a bit. I won't be back that way for a couple of weeks (g/f is happy about that....) due to work. It really is a simple bolt on and call it even.

Have you considered getting your hands on an 09 console? It has a removable cooler thing... Just a thought. I saw where someone was selling one at the Trading post....

The e-bay one isn't looking too bad after all.
