Anyone from the Cheyenne area, my wifes family lives their and we are thinking of moving their, we love it their and are sick of Ohio, no jobs(wife just got laid off today), crappy weather, high cost of living, ect. Just wondering a head count to know if there is a group of E owners to hang out with. Thanks all,
Steve

There are lots of E's here in Cheyenne, but so far I haven't seen to many of us on the boards. I am sorry to hear about your job. Where are you from in Ohio? I spent 3 years in Stuebenville and then a summer in Sandusky.
Right now there is not a group of E owners that hang out, though I tell just about every E owner I meet about the EOC. There are a lot of people that live down in Colorado though.

Are you sure the weather in Ohio is worse than in Wyoming?

Yes, a little worse, I live in the snow belt on the lake, you guys get a big snow and it melts quick, we get snow, it stays and builds up for a month then melts then starts all over again. When we were out there on xmas, it was 55 degrees, back in ohio, it was 15 with a foot of snow and a huge snow warning, by the 26th there was 2 ft, by time we got back there was 4 ft of snow and it didnt melt off until almost feb. But the main thing is im ex usaf, and i could easily get a job on base, and my wife woyld be closer to family.

Oh yeah, Wyoming averages just over 300 days a year with sunshine, in North East Ohio were I live, our average is 55 days a year, it sucks, oh and Wyoming cars dont rust, we pound our roads with salt for 5 months out of the year, my camaro has never seen snow, hell it has not seen rain in over 6 years, but there is rust under my car, and that is also from the ridiculous humidity we get here, average in the summer is 90%, it make 90 degrees feel like 110 degrees, you walk outside and its instant sweat, come here for a week in august, youll never want to come back!

I live just south of Cheyenne in Colorado. I have been looking for a group of E owners here to hang with but haven't found any yet...even though there are tons of 'em in the area. Post when you are coming out and we'll have to start something.

you, insane_sc and et-etwalker should definitely start something. from looking at insane's sc and knowing what et-etwalker has done, i think you all can share some good info and get some good ideas. who knows, maybe our so cal chapter will drive out there and meet up with you all at something you guys plan.:D

just know that i am available for virtual friendship and information for now. HAHA!

You need to come out and show me how to put my SC console in...well I guess I should buy the E-Brake first. We need to plan a big So Cal/ Rocky Mountain meet.

The weather in Ohio is way worse than it is here in Wyoming. The snow here is really dry and tends not to stick for more than a day or two. This year we had snow maybe once before the past two months. I was wearing shorts in March. Although the wind is much worse than Ohio and is what takes the longest to adapt to.

Wyoming has absolutely beautiful, serene country. We spent some time with a fixer-upper outside of Riverton several years ago. The only thing we had a hard time getting used to is the very dry air. We never thought we would ever appreciate humidity, but we do now. Announce an "E" meet when you get out there. We enjoy that drive.:)

we are definately coming out labor day week, probably not moving out there until next year after our house is finished and sold. Cant wait to visit with you all and go on a cruise through the mountains on 30 and possibly make a trip to the hot springs in sarasota I think it is.
