: So how old are you element owners?
Lousy Breed 03-10-2003, 09:32 AM i am just curious because honda is targeting people like me 23 yr. old male graduating college soon. i am just curious to see who is actually buying the E. i know that when chrysler introduced the pt cruser it was targeting the "young gen" and most older people bought it.

fosterbo 03-10-2003, 09:52 AM There's already a thread on this question. One of the salesmen told me that most of the buyers here in SoCal are my age: 55. I think the average age in the other thread was in the late 30s.
If you want to check it, there is a poll of ages of Element owners under polls. :D

Mfpar35 03-10-2003, 04:38 PM Go for it Lousy Breed, I'm 19 and I love the E!
RVDIII 03-10-2003, 09:11 PM :D 51 for me...I just picked up my Black 4WD EX this evening from Westbrook Honda in Connecticut. A great dealership who dealt fairly and who was patient with this fussy buyer. So far, I am very happy with my E. It is a fun and versitile SUV for any age, gender,.etc...etc...So much for targets!
Dakine E 03-10-2003, 09:22 PM 41 going on 18..!!!!!

GYPSYTDA 03-12-2003, 07:16 PM great answer Iskie..
Yep we have had this discussion.. and the poll breaks it down more for ya..
We are soo non demographic target here, smiles yeah!!
MAWorking 03-12-2003, 08:28 PM I havent bought an Element, as of yet... but I will, just a matter of time (me finding some...)
I am 36, and a guy (dont ask about my name... it goes way back in computer history)
I always felt that Honda marketed the Element the wrong way....
They went for a younger crowd... and yet I dont see those people driving them. (most of my friends are in the 40+ catagory..... go figure I dont hang out with 20 somethings!!!?)
Hawaiian E 03-12-2003, 08:35 PM Im 24, but yes i see your point MAW. I also discussed this with the dealer, and I told him that I don't see any college kids buying a car anytime soon, and if they can afford it, they probably have one already. This is a great utility vehicle and would have been great for me when i was in college, but i like many other college students only had enough money for tuition and food...and sometimes just tuition.
This leaves those that can afford it, and perhaps parents that buy for their kids. I would have loved this in High School-coulda stored my board in the car while I was in class so I could have surfed more often before or after school and not worry about all the cleaning later; Or cleaning up the "spills" from various activities

I was not lucky that way....
When I was in school, I could not afford a car, and there was no way my family was going to either.
Ironically, I married a woman who could do both... and did.
(Im really just her boy toy... and Im okay with it)[/quote]
Hawaiian E 03-12-2003, 09:02 PM I would be okay with it too...does she have a younger sister? kidding...

vegasbaby 03-21-2003, 10:47 AM 32 married, male, and I love my E !!! :D
mmathews 03-21-2003, 08:53 PM I've decided Element ownership is not dependent on a physical age, it's a mental age thing.
Honda succeeded by accident. All those who wake up in the morning KNOWING they are 22 and act like that all day--even through the gray hair and aching joints--are possible Element owners.
I can afford more luxury, but I don't really care about it. I want handling and storage space for my toys. My x-country skis, my backpack (and the muddy boots), my mountain bike (my kid's mountain bike), my quick camping trips, my climbing trips with the quick nap in the car before ascent, draggin my dum kit to a gig--all of these are enhanced with this car/SUV/truck/tool. AND I get to play Santana, Cream, Matchbox 20, Barenaked Ladies, Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington on a seven-speaker, 270-watt sound system with a real bass end that cranks over the freeway sound.
I'm one of the buyers. I DO things. I HAVE gear, I WANT to live. I WILL NOT be stopped!
Borhays 03-22-2003, 12:10 PM 29 when I decided to buy...signed the contract on my 30th birthday last Sunday! :D Still waiting to take delivery.
