Basically its sittin inside the dash about 1/2 an inch. I can not for the life of me get it to come out any.

Help! ;)

Anyone know a of a good kit or should i just go to a shop and pay them labor to have it done?

I have the same deck as you and my installer used a Metra kit (not sure what the # is) and I am very happy with the way it looks, They did not use the sleeve either, the OEM screw holes were used to fasten the unit to the dash kit instead. The face only sticks out about a 1/4 inch and that is the best I can do.

here are a few pics

Good luck

Yours looks perfect. That is exactly what i want mine to look like

my dash kit is sunk in like 1/4 to 3/8" with the face of the radio pretty much flush with the dash. Looks tacky and getto to me. no reason the trip piece can't at least be close to flush with the dash and the radio poke out a little. that is pretty much how every install looks unless you have a custom build dash kit which I am thinking I might do now since I keep getting the run around on it

My empeg is sunk about flush, as is my pioneer head unit...without the face.

Adding the face puts them at significantly different depths. But hell, I don't care, it sounds great.

If you are handy with this stuff, I would just get a Metra kit for the E, they cost around $15.00 and just do it on your own. Originally, my shop had put in a kit for a Honda Pilot for temporary until the correct kit came in. It looked similar to what you described how yours is.
Its a great deck, I love it especially sinc I put in my Focal 165KP components :D
Good luck
