I know there isn't much mark up between invoice and retail sticker price, but are there any KC area dealers who are close (or below) invoice?
I am interested in a black or shoreline EX 4 WD automatic.

Keep in mind that they get something like $650 (3% of MSRP) in kick backs from Honda for every Element EX AWD they sell. So if they sell it to you for invoice, they still make $650! And believe me, there is plenty of wiggle room in the price, but demand for the Element is high so you are at a disadvantage when it comes to haggling. For example, my 96 GMC had an MSRP of $19,100 but I only paid $17,300. Once supply exceeds demand, the out-the-door price for the Element will come down - if you are willing to negotiate.

Hey I am working with *Dealer* Honda right now on an EX manual. They made it sound like they would be able to come back @ around 1000 under!! I'll let you know what happens. They are very friendly and helpful, give em a try. (I'm working with a gentleman named Aqil pronounced ah-keal) He really seams to know his E's. He has ordered an EX AWD manual in SOP.

MFPAR,
Does the term lowball come to mind? When you go to a dealer and ask for ridiculous things and they agree with you, you are being made fun of! They will not sell youy an E for 1,000 under cost, why would they lose money to sell you a popular car? Be reasonable and realistic and you will have a lot more success.

I bought my 4WD SOP EX from Jeff Madill at John Chezik. Tell him Big Erik sent you and he should treat you nice! Actually he would probably treat you nice anyway!
His nickname is "Maddog" from when he played professional hockey.
The sticker reads:
XXXXXX MSRP
XXXXXX delivery
I got mine for about 300 less than this total.
They DO however price too high on accessory installs.....buy from HandA and install yourself!
Just wanted to get in on this thread...here in Scottsdale there is an added cost of "Consumer Adjustment" which is $3995.00. Yep that's four grand just because....so I love to hear about you guys trying to trim your final price down....I might go out of state just to beat this scam......
