Has anyone experienced any windshield related problems after replacing the windshield? Here is my store. About a month ago, the dealer replaced my cracked windshield under warranty. The next day, I noticed a whistle sound from the passenger side. I took it back and they said it was fixed. The next day I noticed the whistle sound from the drivers side. Last Friday, They had the car for the whole day, and claimed it was fixed. When I picked up the car, there seemed to be no problem. By the time I got home, 25 min later, the whistle was back. I am wondering if anyone knows what can be done to stop this. The dealer is using a third party glass company for their windshield work. Today, just for the heck of it, I put a strip of duct tape on the bottom of the windshield and the plastic molding. The problem went away. I don’t want to have to drive a new car with duct tape on it, and I am hoping the dealer can come up with a better fix. Looking for ideas, thanks.

In looking for the dreaded dashboard rattle today, I noticed that it is easy to mess things up with the cowling. There are lots of snap clips than can be lost or loosened from too many remove/replace cycles, and there are rubber bits at each corner that need to be replaced "just right".

It's the rubber bits that I'd look closer at, since the corners are at a critical point in the airstream. There are flaps and notches that fit around the hood hinge, and the molded shape has to intersect with the A-pillar plastic garnish just right. You might need to compare it with a factory-fresh E to make sure they're in the proper position.
