I've got the 4WD EX w/o keyless entry. Whenever I lock it using either the power door lock or the push down lock from the inside, get out and close the door, the lock pops back open. I assume this is to prevent me from locking myself out. I'd appreciate it if they let me decide for myself whether I was an idiot or not =)

Does anyone know how to disable this?

You have to pull the inside latch then push the button down. Then close the door and it will lock.

Or pull the door handle and hit the lock button.

Worked like a charm...

standard op. for all Honda models... it's an accidental lock-out deterent device. ~~hold the handle open, hit the door lock.. good to go..

(also std. for most other imports)

So does the keyless entry system unlock the back hatch?

Yes.

1st button-push unlocks only driver's door.
2nd button-push unlocks both doors and hatch.

congrats on getting yours! Honda actually called me to appologize for the delay. I dont think an american car company would have taken the time to appologize for a problem like this. gotta love this company!
