I'm sorry to report that the Element Stealthbox is running a ways behind the October/November projection. At this point development has been completed and we are building production tooling. Does anyone have one installed? I was waiting for some feedback/reviews before I decide whether to buy one or build my own. Any pricing info. would be great too.

I am worried about the placement of the sub down close to the floor. This area seems like a collecting point (at least in my car) for water/dirt dragged in by your feet. I don't know if water could damage the sub's surrounds.

i finally got a chance to call JL and they said that these stealthboxes were in stock. if anybody knows anything more about the performance of this sub, please post any helpful info and/or pics.

I picked up an Element StealthBox yesterday (March 5th 2004) for $499.

It is at the same time smaller than I expected but also appears to take up all of the space between the dash and plastic molding around the eBrake.

It's dark out now so pictures would turn out rather poor. Tomorrow I plan on installing an amp, component speakers, a head unit, and the stealth box. Stay tuned for a thread on the subject with many inline pictures. :D

Yeah, the bigger size of the enclosure makes me wonder: if you install that, where do you put your drive through fast food bag w/ fries sticking out of the top for on the way home eating?
