I just purchased my Element and when asking dealer about some type of
molding that would guard my doors from the inevitable dings...he said in
so many word that I was SOL. CR-V has factory installed door molding.
Seems that the Honda engineers were asleep at the wheel about this one.
The doors are completely unprotected. Any options availabe to those
who want to protect their Element doors from dings?

I couldn't agree more! People... its a car! Drive it and don't worry too much! If you want something that doesn't get door dings, buy a tank!

I thought that there was molding offered as an accessory? :?:

Not sure about the molding. Maybe one of our participating dealers can shed some light on this...

I thought about getting the side trim for the lower part of the doors. painting them body colour and mounting them higher at about tire height. I saw some aftermarket rubber moulding that looked too cheap. Honda dropped side cladding as an option.

I was looking at body moldings at:

http://www.sportwing.com/

They have moldings for trucks & SUVs there, but a lot of them come in 60 foot lengths only. Any opinions on the styles shown? Or any other sites?
Not too sure how these would look on an Element though...
