Okay....if we have a national meet what would you like to do that weekend? This will have a great deal of effect on where we hold a National Meet. I am sure I have left out some options....so if you pick other please list what you would like to do.

Diane,
All of yours were GREAT ideas!! I couldn't chose between the Mtns, Lake or Amusement park. :P
I'm game for anything!! As for an Idea, how about one of the Busch Gardens (Amusement Park)?? Or for the Mtns/Lake combined, White Water Rafting down in NC/Tenn border.
Or, find something Central to the US, so we all CONVERGE on a small town or 'willage'.
Super idea here Diane!!!! Thanks!
E ON!!

I would love a central US meet. I am a bit biased living in St Louis, but it indeed would make a meet more feasible to more than coastal-resident E-owners

St. Louis really isn't as good of a central location as one might thnk. It is about 16+ hours from many people on the East Coast and is a 2+ days drive for anyone west of the Rockies. Don't expect to see more than MAYBE 1 E owner from west of the Rockies, if you even see one. East Coast owners for the most part will want to keep their drive to under 12 hours if possible, but many would stretch that to 15 hours... St Louis is too far for a first time meeting place.
Just letting you know what I have found from planning National Car Events.
Personally I would drive the 16+ hours to get to St Louis from Long Island.

As long as there's water and it's not 4 days away. Oh, and the Mississippi can't really be considered water. I'd be cool w/ Ohio.

A central location is always hard to pin-point and set in stone. Someone will always have their 2cents on what it should or shouldn't be.
My suggestion or idea would be more of a caravan across America. Not everyone is down for driving to a central location that is far from their area.
Simple solution in my opinion would be a caravan across various cities that would link us all together. No, it's not necessaritly a national meet, but then again it's sort of in a way.
It would be a major task, but think of it this way. For instance, you can have a starting point and ending point from either the West Coast or East Coast. If we would start from the West it would most likely orginate from Seattle then to --> Portland --> Sacramento --> Bay Area --> Los Angeles --> San Diego --> Las Vegas --> Phoenix --> Texas --> Colorado and so on if you get my drift. Then have the end point like on the East Coast maybe in Miami or New York.
Folks from various regions of the country can meet on the specific caravan/route/city and drop out where ever they choose. This is the only solution I see that will get everyone involved.
It is a major undertaking and will take vast coordination with various cities.
Any thoughts? Any voluteers or contributors in their designated major city?

I'm with Kerri on this one lets find a small town and converge there for a weekend, sort of like Sturgis for the E rock on

I like the Honda Plant idea but then again I live only 2 hours away. I wouldn't mind driving though. HOPEFULLY we all can get together!!!
