Hey GuysAs much as I would like to change the HU and add an amp. Looks like I'll start with just new replacement speakers.

Looking at Focal 165CA1 6.5 inch , the sensitivity is listed at 92 db. With the listed sensitivity , They should be o.k with the factory HU and amp. Any one have any experience with this speaker?:confused:

I have Focal components in our other car, but running a Jl amp on those.

I have a set of the 165's mounted in the rear doors, and a set of the K2P's in the front. I am very pleased with the sound. Rear install was a snap, but the front took a bit more work (the magnet on the K2P speakers is quite large. I am driving there with 50 watts RMS front and rear, which is pretty good.

so your running a external amp not the factory?

Yes, I am using an Eclipse 5 channel, 50 RMS x4 plus 200 RMS for the JL stealth box sub.

I have 165 CA1 in the rear and 165 A1 components up front they sound clean. I am pushing them with a Rockford Fosgate P.400-4 amp rated at 50w per channel but these amps are under rated. The birth cert rates it at 73w per channel. I am extremely happy with the sound I am getting from these speakers.
