I need some help from you guys around Charlotte. My son just transferred to a Marine base in Charlotte & the 1st day there his clutch went out in his 93 Civic. He knew it needed changing & we were going to have it done when he came back down to Alabama. But the clutch decided otherwise. Anyway unless he tows the car all the way down here hes gonna need to have it fixed there. Are there any shops that you guys would recomend that he take his car too.
Thanks

I can't give you a recommendation of a shop 'in' Charlotte, but the one I can highly recommend is 'near' Charlotte.
I use a small shop about 30 minutes West of Charlotte in a little town called Bessemer City. The guy does good work at a fair price - I use him for everything that I don't do myself.

You are in luck. Go to Compact Car Service. It is on Hwy 74 (Independence Blvd). I love these guys. They are skilled, extremely honest and quite reasonable pricewise. They only work on Hondas and Acuras. So I hate to ever buy anything else.
I trust them completely. They won't steer you wrong. If Johnny told me to change the air freshener to improve gas mileage, I'd do it. :-) He is completely trustworthy.
Here is their website:
