I'm in Southwest Virginia, and I've been in internet contact with dealers all over the state. I'm looking for my dream '04 SOP EX AWD/AT w/SideAirbags. . . Many of the better initial quotes I'm getting are from Northern Virginia (hey, I can drive for a deal :wink: )
Since I've got both VA and DC folks here, where did you get your E?? Were you happy with the dealership? Any stealerships I should avoid? Hey, and if you bought an '04 that resembles the one I want, what was your deal?
Can't wait to be an owner; then I can come play at these fine meets!

please do yourself a favor and call Annette Painter, Internet Sales Manager @ Jim Coleman Honda (www.jimcolemanhonda.com) 1-877-49-HONDA - if she's not there talk to her sales manager - Roy Daves - tell them i told you to call (Sheryl & *******) - don't talk to anyone else but Annette or Roy -- they are located in Clarksville, Md. - off Rt. 108 & Rt. 32 -- make your deal over the phone or by email and take then take a ride and pick up your car -- they are great to deal with

Now, there's always a chance that she didn't get the message. I made an initial offer of $20,600 drive away for the '04 EX AWD/AT w/ side airbags. Quite a few dealers have not bothered to contact me (I assume that I am starting too low for them) though others have. The best quote I have so far is $21, 250 from up in Northern VA. I'm seeing some folks getting this car for close to what I offered drive away.
I can try Jim Coleman again. Any advice on how to approach them??

:lol: Sheehey Honda in Alexanria, off Rt 1 (Richmond Highway). I had the most awesome experience there!!!

I got everything I wanted, at the time, and drove her off the lot for less than 20K... Now after financing and adding a few mods, that's a different story.. But I did get my E for less than 20,500..

Anyway, I second the recommendation for Sheehy Honda in Alexandria. We dealt with Norman Jefferson from the internet sales department and the transaction was very smooth.

I'm looking for a dealer. Gonna check out ones posted here, but, has anyone dealt with Honda of Bowie or Honda of Annapolis? Experiences? I'm happy to go to Balto too.

And when are the new 05s going to be out? 04s were released in Dec, I've noticed. I'm wondering if the 05s will come out that late also and that's why the wheelin' and dealin' seems pretty mild so far.

Worked with Jason in their Internet Sales group and got a great deal.

Went there last night to drop off the E for service and noticed there were a lot fewer left on the lot...

I bought mine in college park. Great experience. I had the bowie dealership on my cellphone while I wsa at the dealer sitting with the sales guy, had both fighting for my business. it was awesome.

Avoid Rosenthal Honda in Tysons Corner Virginia at all costs. While I got a super deal on my car, I have received nothing but pooooooor customer service. In fact, I was overcharged $500.00 by them, and I have been working for 3 months to attempt to get my funds returned.

Everyone there acknowledges the error, but no one will get it fixed! I've even faxed copies of paperwork with their signatures all over it, to no avail! Its truely amazing, especially since Honda of American can do nothing but give them a courtesy phone call to ask them to help me. Ugh...

NO ROSENTHAL HONDA if you can avoid it.

I bought my Element last November at Greenwich Honda in Greenwich, CT. Got it thru Carsdirect and drove 200 miles from New Jersey to get a 5 speed SOP AWD EX.

I wasn't impressed with this dealership. They tried to pull a few fast ones when we sat down to sign the paperwork, took their time locating and mailing one of my missing keys and had a less than desirable attitude. It wasn't a horrible buying experience but I'm glad I haven't had to deal with them again.

What's interesting is that I've owned the E over a year and I haven't gotten any surveys or questionaires from Honda asking about my buying experience or how I liked my new Honda. By the time a year was up Mazda had sent me at least 3 questionaires after I bought my Miata.

At any rate, I will say that my service experiences with DCH-Kay Honda in Eatontown, NJ has been excellent. I haven't gotten any surveys about my experiences there either but they treat me wonderfully even though I didn't buy my Element from them. I'd definitely be looking to buy my next Honda from them.
