LittleDogBox 01-17-2004, 07:34 PM Just love the photos. So glad I came today. Enjoyed meeting everyone and also getting some great ideas for new accessories. Couldn't have picked a better place to take great pictures of our Elements. Those tall steps came in handy for good photo ops. Looking forward to our next adventure. :D

StLouisPenguin 01-17-2004, 09:44 PM Wow!!!! GREAT PICS!!!!
Looks like everyone had a great time at the meet!! Wish I could have been there....but the 12 hour drive would have been a bit much
element_monster 01-17-2004, 11:26 PM We had a great time and look forward to seeing all of you again. You can likely count us out for the Holocaust Museum tomorrow - we have a lot to do. I hope we can meet up soon, though.
We could post our pictures, but it is just more of the same. I did get a great picture of the 'Control Room' where the Masons control the entire world. Otherwise, I am really upset that I didn't take a picture of our animatronic friend, George Dubya (Washington). Actually, he deserves some video footage of his deft sitting. I love it when he sits.

That was the creepiest thing ever.
I did feel a bit bad for the dad there, though.

SCREWaerodynamics! 01-18-2004, 02:25 AM WOW...I just love the pics....very scenic and beautiful as well. Feel bad you guys have to sit through the harsh weather unlike us Cali folks. =) I can at least honestly say I don't miss that weather ( I was in Baltimore for 2 years), but it's too bad I wasn't around for that meet.
brendan 01-18-2004, 02:34 AM [quote:1451ce4757=" "]We could post our pictures, but it is just more of the same. [/quote:1451ce4757]
No, please please do! I want to see more! As a hint, I found 800x600 to be the best target size for posting.

LmentalMastiffs 01-18-2004, 07:53 AM  I really have to say, it turned out Much better than I expected! Ya know, never met, not sure what to think, clashing personalities. But we all seemed to fit and get along nicely!! How super wonderful!!
Those of you from the Meetup board, please click on Mango Mike's and leave them a positive feedback. It'd be much appreaciated!! :D
We had a total of 10 E's present yesterday, only 9 in the photo op, sadly one couldn't stay around long enough, we sure missed you though.. You should us seen us all rollin' down Duke street from Mikes towards the Temple. That would have made for a kewl video coming around the corner into the Temple.... Maybe next time.
Tom, I'll send a write up this evening and I'll pic one of the pictures ( have one in mind) for the Front Page write Up. If you will..
E On!!

Got kicked out of a baby shower (oops).
Met up with our group in the other room. Had lunch. Talked about cars (guess what kind) and cool things/bad things that happed with or could be done with them.
Got help installing a cloudrider grill (thanks bri).
Caravaned to a good spot to do pictures.
Toured the Masonic Temple in alexandria. Made fun of George Washington (well, his animatronic creepy robot, anyway).

Empire 01-27-2004, 04:39 PM At our Element meetings we like to knit thigh-high wool stockings and sing ancient Viking war songs
No,this was our first meet for the general area. We all ate at a restaraunt, had a meet and greet discussion about each others Element, went down the street to the Masonic temple where we sacrificed virgins, conjured demons and sang ancient Viking war songs.
Nah, the historic American temple just made a nice back drop for our ugly Japanese imports.
My wife and I had fun. We drove for 2 hours to the meet and even though no action figures were given out..........thanks alot Kerri :x , we still all had a great time.
We're looking forward to the next one.
If anyone has other locations in the Virgina area in mind for another meet-up let's hear 'em.
Richmond? VA beach? Bumpass? Cuckoo? Licking Hole Lane?
We could even have the CRVers from HondaSUV.com join in.
Or even anyone just interested in the Element is welcome.........but bring action figures.

:o Hey.. Sorry, I'd have made a special trip to ToysRUs just for you if I had known how much of a fan of the whole Star Wars series you were!! lolol
If All you guys/gals want to start now in planning for the next meet and just forget about using Meetup.com. We can have action figures and stickers for all and maybe a koozie or two or even a long sleeve T give away!!!
We can plan for the Beach or the Openning day of Busch Gardens in Williamsburg?? There is Kings Domion in Henrico Co (just outside Richmond to the N), Six Flags up here in MD just across the WWB. Hey, I'm up for just about anthing. :D
I told you guys, white water rafting or camping out once the weather is better would be perfect!!!! What about a Skiing/Snowboarding trip up to WhiteTail, WV?? :D
If you all want, email me and we can start planning.. I'll need private email addy's, phone numbers and full names & sn's along with snail mail addys. I'll get with Amy (Lae) and start working on some ideas. I'm so totally in for this, you just don't know how much I need a hobby!!!!

VAK9girl 01-28-2004, 02:42 PM KD is actually closer than you think - its in Hanover county but really Northern Hanover County so its not super far for the NOVA people - Busch is a whole different ball game, about 90 minutes from KD
YodaMac 02-24-2004, 10:31 AM I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that looks like Empire's E there with all the lights draining his battery. :P
Cover your exhaust port for goodness sake!
Empire 02-24-2004, 02:37 PM I think with my next Element I'll specifically special order so it's only partially completed. You know steel splinters jutting out on one half with wires dangling into nothing. Ala second Deathstar.
http://www3.sympatico.ca/mechtech/deathstar.jpg
On second thought that might be a bad idea. Billy Dee Williams might crawl up in it one day screaming, "YEEEEEEHAAAAW!"
Ah, Billy Dee.....(sigh)........I too like to max and relax with a tall, cool Colt 45.

Oh yes it does. 8)
music&dogs 02-24-2004, 03:08 PM That is SO cool to see all those E's together They look so clean (the autos, not you guys) :-) and in the midwest even! Did you all go through a car wash together before taking those photos? Thanks for sharing.

keckhanded 02-25-2004, 11:14 PM Looks like ya'll had a blast. I have been wondering what I would talk about if I met up with any E owners, especially down here in the deep south (read buckle of the Bible belt). If everything goes as we hope my wife and I will be moving to Baltimore by the end of the year. Then I can stop saying "ya'll" and start saying "hon".
from reading the posts it looks like there's a lot to do up there. My wife and I visited friends there 4 years ago. I had a broken ankle and had to walk around inner harbor on crutches. Are the people at the aquarium always so rude?
Hope to hang out with ya'll soon see ya.
Empire 02-26-2004, 01:35 PM On Valentines my wife and I drove about 2.5 hours to Baltimore for the weekend. We also went to the harbor and the aquarium. Didn't see any rude people, saw some butt-ass ugly fish though. Was a fun trip.
Once it starts to warm up the meets will happen more frequently. It was cold as crap that day in Alexandria but we still had a blast and everyone was geeking out over all the Elements. It was actually a nice sampling of mods from all the Elements. Some had chrome grill inserts (an installation of one took place in the parking lot of Mango Mikes), I think it was Kevin that had some nice pin striping, BriBoy had strobe flashers, Brendan had some voice activated KnightRider gadgets in his, and mine looked like a big, ugly, black pack mule with braces.
But I think if it was warmer everbody would have had longer to get in and out of all the Elements and sample and ask questions about accessories and features.
