We spent a couple of hours at the auto show today - very disappointing!

First of all, you know the show cars that get all the build-up? We only got a couple - GM had their Caddy "exotic", and Ford had their GT (GT40 redux). A couple of makers were showing upcoming models - Lexus RX400h (hybrid), and Chevy had the SSR roadster/truck and the Colorado. Conspicuous by its absence was the new Corvette. Ford wasn't even showing models due at their dealers in two weeks!

Honda was a huge disappointment - they had nothing you couldn't see by going into a dealer showroom. They didn't even have factory representation - just two or three local people. In fact, one of the folks holding down the Honda "desk" was the salesman who sold us our E. Even he complained about St. Louis being pretty low on the car show totem pole.

The one E (SOP EX) was hidden in the farthest corner of the booth and not a Honda rep anywhere in site. As a result, I must have spent 45 minutes or more demonstrating the seats and sunroof, and answering questions. Where's the water cooler, and when's payday?
