I've been thinking of having monthly meets for quite sometime now. Maybe 3 or 2 times a month in different locations due to how many of us here are spread out all over the bay or we could even have a fixed day for it. Ideas, comments, your two cents would be grateful. Let me know.

I *live* in Concord. So if'n I was to suggest a place out here in't boonies, I'd say Concord or Walnut Creek. I suggested Oakland because that part of O-town is pretty and has a nice park, and because it's fairly central for our distribution throughout the whole Yay Area.

Also, I was raised in Oakland. I know peeps. And secret places. Shhhh. D/L.

Oh, btw, if you're heading westbound on the San Mateo Bridge (heading towards Hwy-101 from Hayward) there is a building on the right which has a pretty big parking lot... We could all meet there, ooh & ahh our Es, snap some pics then head on over to BridgePointe Shopping Center to get some grub... There IS a brewery (BJ's) over there as well as Armadillo Willy's, Mimi's Cafe, Hokkaido Seafood Buffet (Yum-O!/$$$ tho) and the Hof-Brau (Yum/less $) around the corner...

The parking lot is located at the very end of E. 3rd Ave... If you're heading West, take the first exit (Foster City Blvd=FCB) this drops you onto Chess Drive, take a left on FCB, follow that all the way down to E. 3rd and make a right... Follow that all the way down to the end...!

If you're coming from Hwy-101, exit FCB which drops you onto Metro Center Blvd, make a left at the end of the off-ramp (you'll see an OSH in front of you), left again onto FCB then down to E. 3rd, hang a right and take that down...

We take possession of our new place in Walnut Creek that weekend, and I'm going to try and move the whole garage that weekend (tools, engine parts, motos, bikes etc. Leaving the island but gaining lots of space and 2 seperate two car garages and trailer storage. yeehaa:grin:

I definitely need a diet, but don't most of us!!

Christ! It's been FOREVER since I checked these boards out. Had some family drama at home, got kicked out blah blah, so when is this meet? I totally have had my head up my ass for the past many many months!

So opinion on meeting at the mall or parking lot near the mall.

Either way works for me. we can always drive from 1 to the other relatively quickly.

parking lot for photo shoot. and bridgepointe mall for food and easier reference.

I suggest we meet, eat and go take pics. I think we will be hungry by the time everyone shows up.

Agreed... Rolie had this as a good idea so I'll give him the credit... Meet at BridgePointe Shopping Center (a "mall" has the shops inside the building buddy...) So after the initial meet-and-greet at the BSC, we'll have afternoon eats...! If you guys want to throw in some chips, snacks and drinks, feel free... We can enjoy the day by The Bay along with some additional munchies...! If the kiddies will come, I'm sure they can help me put away some grilled tube steak...! Either way, I'll see you guys in the parking lot...! Going to be busy tomorrow...! Can't wait...!!!

My boy Butkus could care less about any kitties, or pretty much anything else for that matter.
I got him a year ago as a rescue from a Mastiff breeder,he was about a year old. he was in the pound and was to big and to afraid for them to adopt him out. He was abused from what ever dickwad had him before and didn't even make eye contact with anyone in the house for weeks. I just wish I could find the dickwad that abused him, I am sure I could make the dickwad afraid of everything!!:sport022:
So just to forwarn everyone, especially all the dog people, he will probably ignore you unless you ignore him. He will not do anything at all to hurt anyone!! he will just stay in the E where he feels safest. SO don't feel bad when he doesn't like you, it's nothing personal.

FYI, the US v Ghana game is on tomorrow and starts at 11:30am. Im staying
home to watch the game. It should be over by 1:30pm or so. I'll text or call
one of you to see if you are still in San Mateo. If the US scores early and often,
I should be there by 2:00pm.

I was not able to find anyone from Home Depot to Target, apparently I was in the wrong place, again. I tried a few weeks ago to go to Benicia and it also was UTL.

If I say, I'll be there, I'm there barring something "bad" happening to me... So today was just a late start because of the U.S. versus Ghana World Cup soccer game... I'm having a crazy busy weekend (still!)l... Rymo926 was actually waiting in the HD parking lot til I got there... That soccer game screwed up my plans to get out there on timel...! Only like 6 days to late but my transmission was fixed I think. I too it in, Payed the $2200 after talking down a honda rep from $3800. Was driving away from the dealership and same mishift from 2nd to first. Took it right back, ˇhey adjusted my throttly cable and reset my computer. Now it works. Bottom Line look out for San Leandro Honda. If anyone else has a place they'd recommend I'd love to here em. but I cant wait now for the next meet. Sorry I didnt make it Once again.!

I took my E to SLD Honda once. They installed my rear spoiler. I had a good
experience. They were the cheapest in the area at $60. They only had my E
for two hours. I took my E to Dublin Honda to get the TL flipkey programmed,
and had an OK experience. The first time I went, set up an appointment so I
wouldnt be sitting there all day. They took me in first, and the computer was
not working! So I left and had to come back a week later. They did cut the
price to $50, and when I did go back, as soon as I pulled in, they took my E
to the computer station, and I was out of there in about 30 min. I would go
back there. I took my E to Fremont/Autowest Honda to get the brake
recall done. Made an appointment and took the shuttle back to my house
and left the E there all day. At the end of the day, they told me they had
run out of the caps. I was a little pissed. But they did the same thing as
Dublin, the next day I went back, and they took my E back and it was
the first one they worked on. They did a good job. I was out of there in just
over an hour. I would probably go back there.

Dealers are so different, its a good thing that here in the Bay Area we have
over 10 dealers within 30 minutes of our houses. When ever you deal with a
dealer, call more than one. Here is a good example of the price difference.
When I got my TL flipkey, I called around to see how much it would be to
get it cut and programmed. The parts department does the key cutting,
while the service department does the programming of the immobilizer.
Cutting the key ranged from $20 up to over $100. Programming the key
went from $50 to over $150. Crazy price ranges.

O wow, Well They installed a new Transmission. After that didn't work They Adjusted my throttle Cable, Than re-Programed my computer. This is like the third time they really screwed me like that so I think I'll try one of those other ones you've mentioned. Thanks for the list:grin:

If I get to choose. I choose Tanforan shopping center in San Bruno. There's a huge empty parking lot at Target. Best buy, pop eye's, red robin,hooters,barnes and noble and my fav BJ brewery.

I hope no one minds, but I am bringing two friends from 7thgenhonda we have a friends birthday party to go to after the meet. They both have em2's and are good people.

Who all is going for sure??? I might try and stop by after the tournament.
The last game is at 1pm. Should go to 2pm. I will be in San Rafael, so coming
down 101 and over the GG is no biggie. Or even over the Bay Bridge and over
to Tanforan.
