Class action suit? For what? Why did you pay to have your window replaced? Did you take it to the dealer first? Maybe you shoulda bought a Volvo.

16,000 miles today and no problems.

I've got a crack, rocking seat, and rattles in both B pillars. I'm having the rattles and seat fixed in a couple weeks and I'm in discussions with the dealer and local Honda rep on the window thing...
This is a first year vehicle, I bought my E knowing this full well. I also knew full well that there were likely to be issues. Funny thing, there are! I'm dealin' with it...can you?

Guy has got a POINT.......all I've heard about from my brother and various loyal Honda owners was what a "superior product" they make........but I am seriously doubting they are as reliable as most say.
I havent taken delivery yet....yet have many concerns mentioned on this and other forums....such as the poor side impact rating from the insurance industry, design defects such as the rattles and creaks and rattles.....Sure this happens in many first year designs and some manufacturers like GM dont even fix the defect EVER...Honda is "supposedly" different but only time will tell!
The major reason I'm buying the E is that I love the funky design,4wd is handy, the interior is cavernous, the frontal impact is excellent and the side impact is still better than the GM J-body I have now.....But I sure as heck wouldnt buy an E at ANYTHING near MSRP.......They arent selling AT ALL here in NJ! I am willing to put up with these possible annoyances ONLY because of the great deal I got! Had I paid $ near MSRP I'd be furious...Honda should be bending over backwards with loaner cars and free accessories for the Inconvenience some are experiencing!!

I'd say except for a couple of odd-balls, no cars that *aren't* equipped with side airbags did well on that test. That is to say, they tested a DX model, one that doesn't have side airbags.

If you buy the E, and are worried about that, make sure you get the EXS model with the (not tested by anyone yet) side airbags.

I'm 99% convinced that, if and when honda gives them an EXS to trash, it will do substantially better in that test.

The guy might have a small point, but a class action suit is NOT going to happen. A judge would laugh at him and he'd be lucky it he walks out with his testicles still attached. He doesn' have grounds because there isn't conclusive evidence that Honda intended for these problems to occur. The fact that he paid $258 to replace a windshield kills his case because he willingly decided to repair his vehicle BEFORE going to the dealer. Had it been determined that a rock caused the crack (which is VERY easy to detect) then his insurance could have covered it (like it did mine).

As said before, it's a first year car. Did you ever wonder why Honda doesn't go through countless models and names like the Big 3? Because they take the time to rework and fix the issues until they get it right instead of masking the issues with newer models with different names to confuse you.
